How do RIVERS Change their Shape Over Time?
Our Fabulous 5th graders observed how moving water breaks down the banks of rivers over time changing its shape. This force causes erosion and carries sediment to different locations. We saw how new chutes and even ox bow lakes can be formed by this process. New landforms, called DELTAS, often form at the mouth of rivers when sediment is dropped into the ocean. This process is called DEPOSITION. Questions? Ask a 5th grader!!!!!
KINDERS learning to make PREDICTIONS and record RESULTS!!
We have been learning about the composition of objects. In this lesson, students are testing specific items to determine whether they float or sink in water. By asking the kindergartners to predict how each object will react & having them record their data, we are beginning to Think like SCIENTISTS!!!
Learning how PUSH & PULLS affect Force!!
These 2nd graders are learning how to apply the “just right” amount of force to their wrecking ball. Their wrecking ball is being used to know down the Berlin Wall without damaging any houses.
